How to set up a wallet
We guide you on how to set up a wallet.
Decentralized Finance (DeFi) gives you complete ownership of your cryptocurrency. As the popular saying goes, "Not your keys, not your coins," your funds are held in a wallet that you manage and control. It is important to follow safety practices to secure your assets:
Never share your recovery phrases with anyone, regardless of the circumstances.
Avoid inputting your recovery phrase to any website or app, except your wallet app when importing your wallet on a new device.
Be cautious of fake websites, scams, or other malicious acts.
Only download and install the latest wallet version from official sources.
Carefully follow the setup guides for your preferred wallet.
Safely back up your recovery phrases, ideally somewhere offline.
MetaMask
MetaMask is a widely-used wallet plugin that operates through a browser. It offers default support for Ethereum and has the ability to add other Ethereum-compatible blockchains like BNB Chain from Binance, Avalanche, and Polygon manually. Moreover, MetaMask is compatible with hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor.
Trust Wallet
Trust Wallet is a well-known mobile wallet that comes preconfigured with several blockchain networks and includes a built-in DApp Browser for ease of use. Although it is user-friendly, it may not offer the same level of customization as MetaMask.
